Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

We understand that circumstances may change. This policy outlines the terms under which orders may be cancelled and any applicable fees. Due to the unique nature of single-crystal diamond rings, cancellation policies vary depending on the type of order.

2. Collection Piece Cancellations

For rings purchased from our existing collection:

Before Shipment

  • Within 24 hours: Full refund, no cancellation fee
  • 24-72 hours: Full refund minus 3% processing fee
  • After 72 hours: Subject to approval; 5% cancellation fee may apply

After Shipment

Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. Please refer to our Refund & Returns Policy for post-delivery options.

3. Bespoke Commission Cancellations

Custom orders involve significant time, materials, and craftsmanship. Cancellation terms are structured accordingly:

Before Design Approval

Full refund of deposit minus consultation fee (if applicable). This stage covers initial discussions, measurements, and preliminary design work.

After Design Approval, Before Production

50% of deposit refunded. Once you approve the final design specifications, we begin preparing materials and allocating craftsman time.

During Production

Non-refundable. Once the diamond crystal has been cut for your ring, the process cannot be reversed.

Note: Production typically spans 1-3 months. You will receive regular updates and can request status reports at any time.

After Completion

No cancellation possible. Once your ring is complete, all remaining balances become due. Please refer to our Refund & Returns Policy for quality-related concerns.

4. How to Cancel an Order

To request a cancellation:

  1. Contact Us Immediately: Email hello@singlecrystaldiamondring.com with your order number and "CANCELLATION REQUEST" in the subject line
  2. Include Required Information:
    • Full name as on the order
    • Order number or invoice number
    • Reason for cancellation
    • Contact phone number
  3. Await Confirmation: We will respond within 24 hours with confirmation and any applicable refund details

5. Cancellation by Seller

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel an order:

  • Stock Issues: If a collection piece becomes unavailable (extremely rare, as each is unique)
  • Payment Verification: If payment cannot be verified or is suspected of fraud
  • Technical Impossibility: If a bespoke design proves technically impossible to execute safely
  • Export Restrictions: If shipping to your destination becomes restricted

In all cases of seller-initiated cancellation, you will receive a full refund with no fees.

6. Refund Processing

When a cancellation is approved:

  • Method: Refunds are processed to the original payment method
  • Timeframe: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear
  • Bank Fees: For international wire transfers, bank fees may reduce the refund amount
  • Currency: Refunds are issued in the original payment currency

7. Modification vs. Cancellation

Before cancelling a bespoke order, consider whether a modification might address your concerns. Changes to design specifications may be possible during early stages of production. Contact us to discuss options — this may be preferable to cancellation.
