The Process
How CVD Works
Chemical Vapor Deposition creates diamond by breaking down carbon-rich gases — typically methane — in a vacuum chamber using microwave plasma or hot filament activation.
The freed carbon atoms rain down onto a thin diamond seed, building up layer by layer in a process that can take several weeks to produce the large plates we need.
The result is diamond with exceptional optical purity and the potential for very high clarity grades — exactly what we need for our single-crystal rings.
