How HPHT Works
High Pressure High Temperature growth mimics the natural process that creates diamonds 150-200 kilometers beneath Earth's surface. A carbon source is subjected to extreme pressure and temperature, causing it to crystallize as diamond.
The process uses massive hydraulic presses capable of generating pressures equivalent to the weight of a commercial jet balanced on your fingertip — all focused on a growth chamber the size of a golf ball.
HPHT-grown diamonds exhibit growth patterns similar to natural diamonds and often possess excellent structural integrity, making them ideal for rings that must withstand daily wear.
